This pressed pigment is formulated with a red lake which is not intended for the immediate eye are.

We are a 100% Vegan and Cruelty Free brand. This means that we are unable to use Carmine, which is a red agent that gives shades like all the fun berries, pinks, mauves, etc. Therefore, we actually substitute by using tiny amounts of Red 7, and Red 27 to get our unique berries, reds, and pinks.

This shade is FDA approved for all cosmetics except for immediate waterline (eye) area.
